Y. David Kan is an internationally renowned and leading authority in development
support, planning, and management of complete design, construction and equipping
hotels. He has over 38 years of practical experience in development and project
management of international first-class hotels, and is proud of an extensive portfolio
of completed projects, whether for new developments, renovations or extensions.
His vast experience and extraordinary credentials are both significant and outstanding
A founding member of Hyatt International Hotels Corporation, Mr. Kan was essential to
the company’s growth. During his tenure of nearly 30 years, he was the Corporation’s
most senior Executive Vice President for technical services and development support.
He was responsible for monitoring the performance of an array of professional consultants,
designers and contractors
From 1971to 1998, Mr. Kan and his team worked on behalf of owners and developers
under contract with Hyatt to develop Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts worldwide.
He managed and supervised at any given point in time a minimum of 35-40 projects
simultaneously, and led Hyatt’s extensive international expansion program into the
21st Century
Since establishing his own consulting firm, Mr. Kan has been involved in a range of
other various lucrative projects. Among the important projects in which he acted as
expert consultant are: the complete renovations & extension of the Hilton Hotel,
Athens, Greece; the Marriott Court Yard Hotel, Budapest, Hungary; the Hyatt Regency,
Warsaw, Poland; and hotel and mixed use developments in Prague, the Czech Republic. |
